Job Description
Title: Title I Instructional Coach
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a master's degree and appropriate Georgia teacher certification (Reading Endorsement Preferred).
- A minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching experience.
- Proficiency in content standards, differentiation, and intervention strategies.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports To: Principal
Job Goal: To facilitate professional learning as related to the Title I school needs assessment.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Provides content and pedagogical training
- Promotes lesson study and coaching lab models
- Mentors new and/or less effective teachers
- Assists in the needs assessment process
- Plans professional learning using a variety of formats (i.e., meetings, webinars, digital learning, blended learning, etc.)
- Provides professional learning activities designed to share "best practices" and current research in the field of literacy and math instruction
- Participates in proposed and ongoing curriculum development projects at the school and system level
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned that are allowable under Title I, Part A.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
