Job Description
Position Description: Behavior Interventionist
Location: Districtwide
Salary and terms of Employment:
Anticipated Start Date: TBD
10-Month Position
Daily Schedule: M-F 7:40 -2:40 PM (up to 32.50 hours)
Salary - $19.59 per hour
Reports to Building Principal with daily direction from a special education teacher, case manager, and /or BCBA
Description:
- Works collaboratively to provide targeted behavioral support and intervention for students with identified behavioral needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree or higher is desirable
- Previous experience working with children is desirable
- Experience working with students with behavioral challenges in an educational setting, ideally within special education is desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build supportive relationships with students.
- Patience, compassion, consistency, and adaptability to meet students' behavioral needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to learn and implement behavior intervention techniques.
