Elementary Summer School

INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

 Overview: Elementary Summer School consists of nine days of intensive literacy instruction and remediation. Each school will target students as identified by iREAD data.

 Grade Level Positions Available: 2nd-3rd Grade

Summer School Teacher Duty:

• Teacher will instruct students using research-based curriculum that aligns with state standards and the Science of Reading.
• Teacher must have already or be willing to take the IDOE iREAD Test Administrator Certification.
• Teacher will coordinate with the program leader and communicate with families.
• Teacher will maintain accurate and complete records, including attendance, as required by administrative regulations
• Teacher will deliver the iREAD exam in accordance with their building level administrator's plan.
• Teacher must have completed 25 hours from the Early Literacy Endorsement Verified Professional Development Program from IDOE.

 The program will be offered for students May 26th- June 5th from 8:00am-12:00pm (for Clifty Creek, CSA Fodrea, Mt. Healthy, Parkside, Richards, Schmitt, Smith, Southside, Taylorsville).

There will be no job sharing. Working hours for the program are 7:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Qualification: Elementary Teacher Certification. Necessary background or experience in the Science of Reading and effective literacy instruction.

Terms of Employment:

4 Hours/Day

9.5 days of Pay

Teacher Hourly Rate (paid for a total of 36.5 hours)

3.5 Hours/Day

9.5 days of Pay

Teacher Hourly Rate (paid for a total of 33.25 hours)
