PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Responsible for all technical issues that cannot be resolved by Level I or Level II Technology Support Specialists. Use abilities Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- High-school diploma or equivalency is required
- Associate degree or high-level certification in computer related field preferred
- Work experience in related field accepted
- Two years leadership experience preferred
- Ability to work independently on complex issues.
- Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.
- Experience with
- Ability to install, maintain, and repair computers, servers, and peripherals including printers, scanners, and data projectors
- Ability to install and maintain structured cabling
- Five plus years in computer-related field preferred
- Two years educational setting experience preferred
Routine Activities
- Resolve technical issues escalated by Level II Technology Support Specialists.
- Assist with tasks related to Information Services projects.
- Develop custom solutions for complex technical issues.
- Provide advanced technical assistance and in-service training as needed.
- Evaluate equipment regarding obsolescence and school district use for cost efficiency of repairs.
- Assist with maintaining computer management software.
- Identify and escalate appropriate tickets to the Help Desk Manager.
- Schedule and maintain technology deliveries and inventory.
- Provide ‘on-site’ support for the Administration and Annex locations.
- Perform duties in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner.
- Conduct oneself in a professional and ethical manner in accordance with generally accepted community standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Work with frequent interruptions
- Occasional prolonged or irregular hours of work
- Moderate lifting and carrying; up to 50 pounds
- Intermittent bending and stooping
- Reaching above shoulder, use of fingers, repetitive hand motions
- Prolonged use of computer
- Normal computer room environment

**The State Board for Educator Certification will require all first time applicants for an initial credential to be fingerprinted as part of a national criminal background check. A cost of up to $49. 00 will be charged for fingerprinting.
