| JOB SUMMARY: | Maintain athletic fields and grounds |
| PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: |
- Maintains and cares for athletic fields and surrounding grounds.
- Stripes all athletic and band fields, competition and practice.
- Maintains and cleans striping machines. Maintains and monitors inventory of striping paint and supplies.
- Possess the ability to keep records, and to carry out detailed instructions.
- Cuts athletic fields and surrounding grounds. Utilizes zero turn mowers and reel mowers of all sizes and styles.
- Responsible to provide simple maintenance for lawn equipment including back lap and adjust reel mower.
- Performs trimming, pruning, edging, blowing and weed management.
- Uses sprays and/or dust chemicals on flowers, shrubs, and trees to control insects, fungi, and other pests.
- Collects and disposes of leaves and refuse.
- Operates trucks, loaders, tractors, hand power equipment such as tillers and other equipment in connection with the above duties.
- Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Building and Grounds Supervisor.

| PHYSICAL CONDITIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS: | - Requires the ability to perform strenuous manual labor requiring considerable walking, lifting, reaching, climbing, stooping, pushing, pulling, and carrying. Must be able to frequently lift 10-50 lbs. and occasionally move up to 100 lbs.
- Works with paints classified as hazardous materials on a routine basis. Working with and around loud power equipment on a regular basis.
- The employee may be subject to adverse environmental conditions including inclement weather, extreme heat and cold.
- Working hours shall be flexible with some occasional weekend work required.

| EVALUATION: | There will be a yearly written evaluation based on the performance of responsibilities. Additionally, periodic interim evaluations may be done by the Athletic Director. |
