E-Bike System Engineer (Shenzhen,China)
Job Description
We are looking for an e-Bike System Engineer to support development and integration of e-Bike system components.
This position is targeted at engineers with relevant system or component development experience who want to broaden their system view.
Role Overview
You will act as a technical interface between suppliers and our internal system engineering teams, supporting development, validation, and system integration of assigned eBike components such as sensors, wiring harnesses, connectivity modules, and auxiliary electronics.
Besides onsite supplier collaboration, you will contribute to system-level analysis, validation feedback, and technology evaluation together with the Swiss R&D team.
Key Responsibilities
On‑Site at Suppliers
Serve as the primary engineering contact for assigned system component suppliers.
- Follow up on component development activities, design changes, prototypes, and validation status
- Support troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis of component‑level and system‑level issues
- Verify supplier designs against technical specifications and interface requirements
- Ensure clear and efficient technical communication between suppliers and Swiss R&D
System Engineering & R&D Support
Support integration of assigned components into full eBike systems.
- Contribute to system testing, validation builds, and analysis of results.
- Identify and support resolution of interface issues (electrical, mechanical, communication)
- Support continuous improvement of system robustness, quality, and manufacturability
- Contribute to evaluation of alternative components, suppliers, and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Several years of experience in system engineering or component development.
- Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical system interfaces; basic communication protocol knowledge (e.g. CAN)
- Experience working with suppliers and industrialized products
- Ability to manage multiple interfaces in a structured and proactive manner
- Strong English communication skills; Mandarin is mandatory for supplier interaction
- International work experience is a plus
