Job Summary:
This position is for the 2025-2026 school year for Leonard V. Middle School 

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

• Implement the OpenSciEd curriculum with fidelity, utilizing its inquiry-based instructional model
• Deliver engaging, standards-aligned science instruction grounded in NGSS
• Facilitate student-driven investigations, discourse and hands-on learning experiences
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
• Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to analyze data and strengthen instructional practices
• Maintain a structured, safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicatee effectively with students, families and colleagues
• NJ Certification in Science (Middle School or appropriate grade level)
• Demonstrated experience implementing OpenSciEd or similar phenomenon-based science curriculum
• Strong understanding of NGSS and three-dimensional instruction and assessment
• Ability to integrate literacy and mathematical practices within science instruction
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working in a middle school setting
• Experience supporting diverse learners, including multilingual learners and students with IEP's
• Familiarity with data-driven instructional practices 

Salary: 
REA Salary Guide Range 
BA: Step 1 $61,500.00- MA+30 Step 21 $104,807
