  • Ongoing Full-Time employment
  • Based in Parramatta with flexible work arrangements, requiring 50% attendance at the office per week
  • Salary ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 pa. plus superannuation and annual leave loading

 

About the role

The Senior Project Officer manages and coordinates the development, implementation and evaluation of complex projects that support meaningful post-school pathways for students in NSW Government schools.

The role is accountable for end-to-end project delivery, including project planning, stakeholder consultation, professional learning coordination, resource development and team support. You will lead the implementation and ongoing support of the Workplace Learning Policy, ensuring stakeholders receive clear, consistent and accessible guidance.

The Senior Project Officer ensures robust system and data coordination to support accurate reporting and evaluation, contributes to evidence-informed program design and maintains delivery standards consistent with agency methodologies and governance frameworks.

Key accountabilities

  • Manage project planning for careers, pathways and workplace learning initiatives, and deliver outcomes within scope, budget and agreed timeframes.
  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings, workshops and feedback to support project outcomes and service improvement.
  • Maintain project data, identify risks and provide recommendations to support future planning and delivery.
  • Provide operational and strategic support for the Workplace Learning Policy, delivering accessible resources, guidance and professional learning.
  • Prepare briefs, reports and correspondence to support governance and informed decision-making.

About you

  • Build stakeholder relationships and manage consultation with working groups and secondary schools across diverse priorities and expectations.
  • Deliver project milestones within tight budgets while balancing multiple priorities and quality outcomes.
  • Coordinate system and data activities to support accurate, consistent and timely project reporting.
  • Support project delivery across school improvement initiatives, universal resources and evaluation activities.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

 

Essential requirements of the role

 

  • Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
