The Yearbook Advisor assumes a pivotal role in orchestrating the creation of the annual yearbook, a publication that encapsulates the essence, milestones, and memories of the academic year. This position demands a visionary leader with exceptional organizational prowess, creative acumen, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. The Yearbook Advisor guides a dedicated team of students, fostering their talents and ensuring the production of a high-quality, aesthetically compelling yearbook.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive environment, encouraging creativity, initiative, and professional growth.
- Oversee the entire yearbook production process, from conceptualization to final publication.
- Develop and adhere to a detailed production timeline, ensuring all deadlines are met with precision.
- Supervise the layout and design process, ensuring a cohesive and visually striking yearbook.
- Employ advanced design principles and tools to enhance the visual appeal and narrative flow of the publication.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal.
Education and Experience:
- Graphic Design/Photography/Publishing/Journalism. PhotoShop, InDesign, and other graphic software tools experience preferred.
- Other education/experience as accepted by the school board and administration
