Job Description
Position: Speech Language Pathology Assistant (2 available positions)
Work Schedule: Full-time, 10-month per year (Mid August - Mid June)
Start Date: August 17, 2026
Pay: $27.00 - 36.00/hour dependent on qualifications and based on the Non-Affiliated Handbook

Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program OR a Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Hearing Sciences plus a SLPA certificate.
- Ability to be licensed through the MN Department of Health as an SLPA.
- Ability to travel between school sites.

Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction and clinical supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Provide direct speech/language intervention to students in individual and small group settings in alignment with IEP goals and objectives.
- Deliver indirect/consultative services to support carryover of communication skills into the general education classroom.
- Adapt school and classroom environments, tools, and instructional materials in collaboration with the supervising SLP.
- Develop lesson plans, prepare therapy materials, and create visuals to support speech/language services.
- Assist with articulation screenings, including scheduling and conducting sessions under SLP supervision.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Provide input for progress reports and annual IEP Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP) for SLP review.
- Collect and organize data related to student performance and goal progress.
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with student IEPs, district policies, and state/federal special education regulations.
- Meet regularly with supervising SLP to coordinate services, review student data, and plan interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and administrators.
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and district policies.
- Accept feedback from supervising SLP and administration while maintaining professional relationships.
- Travel between district buildings during the duty day, as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
