Special Education Teacher - Long-Term Leave Replacement

Approximately April 27, 2026, through June 30, 2026

Collaborative and Self-Contained Classroom Teacher (Math Specialization Preferred)

This position is covered under the Closter Education Association and Closter Board of Education Collective Bargaining Agreement (2025�2026). This position offers pay starting at $200 per day for the first 10 days, followed by a salary within the range of $56,500 to $76,000, depending on degree and post-degree credits at step zero. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package with single coverage for medical, prescription, and dental plans after 60 days, as well as sick and personal leave.

MUST HAVE APPROPRIATE NJ CERTIFICATION AS FOLLOWS:
 

Teacher of the Handicapped and Elementary with Math Specialization, Grades 5-8, OR
Elementary School Teacher AND Teacher of Students with Disabilities, and Elementary with Math Specialization, Grades 5-8, OR

Teacher of Student with Disabilities with Math Teacher certification (6-12)
