Special Education Support Staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate
- Current RBT Certification or ability to be recertified in a timely manner
- Preferably college experience
- Experience working with children with disabilities (preferably students with Social/Emotional needs)
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds

| JOB GOAL: | To support the SEL classroom and implement student behavior plans and support student needs and programming as directed. |
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the SEL classroom with support from the school counselor(s) and BCBA.
- Work with students individually, in small groups, or in large groups as necessary and as prescribed by the immediate supervisor.
- This position would specifically be working with students with social/emotional needs and require various behavioral and therapeutic supports throughoutthe school day.
- Demonstrate a continuous sensitivity to the needs of children to whom they are assigned.
- Maintain competency and skills through a variety of available offerings.
- RBTs are expected to obtain and maintain CPI (Non Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
2025-2026 HOURLY SALARY: starting hourly rate at $21.81 with current RBT certification
HOUR/DAY: 6.5
SCHOOL YEAR 183 days/year
EVALUATION: Performance to be evaluated no less than annually by the building administrator and immediate supervisor(s).
