
Pupil Services Secretary
Job Description
West Hartford Public Schools seeks to fill a position for a Pupil Services Secretary at Hall High School.
Qualifications:
- Prior secretarial experience in a school setting.
- Understanding of timeline management and urgency.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills, including Google Workspace - Calendars, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc., and Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, self-starter, and solid telephone etiquette.
- Proficiency in scheduling appointments for students and clinicians, managing meetings on calendars, and coordinating department events.
- Ability to work with and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to communicate positively and effectively with staff, students, parents, and/or visitors regarding school matters.
- Manage the flow of students through the pupil services office.
- Experience with PowerSchool, CT Seds, and SmartPass.
- Experience with student records.
