Our deeply embedded commitment to continuous improvement reminds us that we can keep learning, keep improving and keep striving for better. And we would love to have you on this journey with us! Apply today.
We´re looking for our next Industrial Technical Support Engineer to join our team Technical Support Team. This is a technical engineering position supporting live industrial production equipment used to code products such as food, pharmaceuticals, and essential goods.
You will work hands‑on with Linx Printing Technologies’ industrial coding and marking systems, supporting distributors remotely and, when required, providing targeted on‑site assistance. These systems run on high‑speed production lines, where reliability, correct integration, and rapid fault resolution are critical.
This role is designed for engineers who enjoy real fault‑finding on machines, combining mechanics, electronics, electrics, fluids, and industrial communications — not ticket handling.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose electro‑mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software faults on production‑critical equipment.
Provide escalation‑level remote technical support and selective on‑site intervention when needed.
Support industrial printers and coders integrated into automated manufacturing lines.
Troubleshoot printheads, sensors, I/O, fluid systems, and communications interfaces.
Analyse RS232, Ethernet, and TCP/IP connectivity issues.
Work closely with Engineering, R&D, and Quality to identify and resolve systemic product issues.
Mentor and technically develop other support engineers.
Main Requirements:
Background in industrial equipment support, such as:
Field Service Engineer
Industrial / Automation Support Engineer
Controls, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineer
Maintenance or Commissioning Engineer
Strong experience with:
Electro‑mechanical machinery and embedded control systems
Digital & analogue I/O, sensors, and actuators
PLC integration and basic ladder logic concepts
Industrial networks, protocols, and diagnostics (e.g. Wireshark)
SQL / ODBC connectivity (advantageous)
Comfortable fault‑finding machines involving mechanics, electronics, electrics, fluids, and communications
Seeking high technical depth with reduced constant travel
Important: This role is not suitable for candidates with a first‑ or second‑line IT support background. If you enjoy diagnosing machines — not fixing laptops — this role is for you.
