Location: Denver, CO
Hours: Part Time | Between M-Fri 8am - 5pm
The Mammo Sono Technologist is responsible for the independent operation of mammography and sonography equipment to create necessary images for imaging procedures with a high degree of accuracy in positioning and image quality techniques, employing effective patient and clinician communication

Here is what you will need:
- Education: Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography*
- Training: Completion of advanced level didactic and clinical training in breast sonography either through Solis University or a qualifying external program prior to hire.
- Licensing: ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible.
- ARRT advanced level certification in breast sonography (BS).*For exceptions and training outside the US, educational requirements will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and require HR approval.
- Technologists must also meet organizationally defined minimum exam frequency requirements for both modalities to qualify for dual mammo/sono role and is assessed annually. Dual certification alone is insufficient for qualification.
- Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT.
- High School Diploma; Associate degree preferred.
- Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location as required.
- Two years of experience in mammography is preferred.
- Experience Leveling: Mammo/Sono has 0-4.9 years of experience and Senior Mammo/Sono has 5+ years of experience, as determined by breast sonography registry certification date.
A Day in the Life of a Mammo/Sono Technologist
- Provide services and support for the following areas:
- Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way.
- Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure techniques.
- Produces high quality breast ultrasound images and obtains appropriate measurements according to ACR guidelines.
- Performs mammography and breast sonography exams at organizationally defined minimum exam frequency thresholds for dual role.
- Explains procedures adequately to patients to maximize patient comfort and cooperation.
- Maintains mammography and ultrasound equipment for cleanliness and ensures proper equipment maintenance and equipment safety.
- Performs Quality Control tests/maintenance of equipment as required.
- Maintains a good working relationship with Radiologists and other Center staff members
- Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees.
- Appropriate monitoring during all phases of procedure with special care taken to ensure patient emotional and physical well-being
- Maintains patient-first focus and exhibits outstanding customer service skills
- Assist and/or chaperones radiologist when performing ultrasound/mammographic exams and/or procedures as appropriate.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

*Sign-On Bonus is applicable to current qualified Mammography Technologists (ARRT (M)). Amount offered may vary in an amount of up to $10,000 depending upon experience level and qualifications.
