Central Supply Clerk/ Scheduler

Schedule: Part time
Responsibilities:
- Verify census daily; prepare and distribute census reports to designated individuals.
- Process admissions and discharge records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Answer telephone and route calls promptly and accurately.
- Assist nursing staff as assigned.
- Report to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
- Consistently work cooperatively with staff and accept assigned duties.
- Report for work in neat attire and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance.
- Work cooperatively with residents, representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants, and ancillary service providers.
- Agree not to disclose residents protected health information (PHI) and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.
- Ensure that the department computer work station left unattended is properly logged off or the password protected screensaver activates within established facility policy guidelines.
- Report suspected resident abuse immediately to the Administrator.
Supply Distribution:
- Inventory and stock supplies maintained at nurses station in supply points; distribute appropriate supplies.
- Assist the Central Supply Director as needed.
- Maintain a safe and orderly work area.
Department Support:
- Answer calls,
- Schedule appointments.
- Assist with Nursing Department activities to include administrative support; assisting residents, families and visitors, and running errands to include travel to supply sources.
Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, and be able to follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
