Role Description
The Port Quality Operation Manager is responsible of ensuring a seamless integration between the local Port Processor, VW and Audi Port Logistics, and counterparts at VW and Audi factories, VWGoA, VWC Quality, and VWC Accounting. The main responsibility is to oversee and optimize the PQT operation, ensuring efficiency through management of day-to-day activities. This includes overseeing the production schedule, ensuring priorities align with company goals and objectives, and adjusting plans as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of all PQT activities.
Base Compensation: $86,000.00 - $94,000.00. Salary range is dependent on factors such as industry-based experience, skills, training, credentials, and other qualifications. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and internal compensation practices.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Guarantees VW and Audi Quality Standards and Priorities (Process and Product)
- Manages day to day PQT operation by monitoring the processors daily progress on all Stop Orders, Transportation Damages, Retrofits, PDI's, Offline repairs, Accessories
- Leads supervisors and production associates, ensuring efficient Port Operation
- Manages, trains and mentors a 10 person team
- Manages production schedule for all PQT activities and makes adjustments when necessary to achieve daily goals.
- Responsible of all financial activities such as Stop Orders cost, Transportation Damages cost, variable labor cost and fixed cost.
- Validates and esures correctness of all cost center transactrions each month
- Participates in Port Audits (all locations) and prepares the organization for the audits
- Ensures PQT facility is continuously updated and/or if new build is up to specification - to process newest generation of VW Group vehicles
- Assures proper coordination of the preventive maintenance of all equipment
- Leads the continuous improvement process
Qualification requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience within a similar role in the automotive industry
- Strong process reengineering skills
- Strong automotive technical background
- Experience in creating processes within the organization
- Knowledge of standard Port policies & procedures considered a strong asset
- Extensive knowledge of Volkswagen and Audi products considered a strong asset
- Broad experience in accounting
