Changemaker at Arizona State University (ASU) is seeking a passionate self-starter who wants to develop student leaders to create social impact. The Changemaker Coordinator role operates under the supervision of Changemaker Leadership and carries the responsibility of advising and working with student leaders in strategizing, designing, executing, and assessing programs aimed at fostering a vibrant culture of social innovation. This position ensures the achievement of university wide program goals and objectives in alignment with the strategic priorities of Changemaker and ASU. This involves the conception and implementation of diverse programs strongly supporting all dimensions of programming and activities geared towards empowering student-led initiatives for social transformation. In addition, this position collaborates extensively with university wide Changemaker Coordinators and other ASU stakeholders to cultivate partnerships that encourage and facilitate student-driven endeavors for positive societal impact. The role also engages in departmental and university committees as a representative of the Changemaker at ASU team. This position is based at the ASU Tempe location and will periodically travel to the other ASU locations.

Flexible work arrangements are available in an alternative or hybrid schedule but will be based on the work and the needs of the university and department operations and pending leadership approval.

Minimum Qualifications:

Essential Duties:
Supervises the Changemaker Tempe Student Leadership team in strategizing, organizing, executing, and evaluating events and initiatives to cultivate a culture of social impact,
Supports the development and implementation of signature university wide programs and initiatives including, but not limited to monthly Days of Service, Change the World, Community Action Grants and Devils in Disguise.
Advises, mentors, and supports Changemaker student leaders involved in Changemaker Social Impact programs to cultivate student community, healthfulness, and skill building.
Manages the Changemaker space including overseeing its operations, maintaining its functionality, and coordinating student schedules to ensure coverage and efficient utilization of the space while fostering an environment conducive to social innovation and collaboration
Develops, expands, and manages a suite of tools and resources accessible to ASU students across campuses to advance their social change ideas.
Promotes awareness and participation in Changemaker programs and is responsible for the effective dissemination of social impact opportunities via Changemaker newsletters, and other communication platforms highlighting student stories and unique community partnerships that develop through Changemaker via social media, ASU News articles, etc.
Participates in identifying and applying best practices from peer institutions and organizations in the field to enhance the effectiveness of Changemaker's initiatives.
Collaborates and regularly communicates with key university-wide partners to establish and nurture relationships that directly influence the programs and opportunities provided by Changemaker.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to fostering inclusive, diverse, and welcoming environments within the institution and ensures alignment of program objectives with departmental and institutional priorities.
Supports initiatives and events under the Educational Outreach and Student Services (EOSS) division, including Welcome Week, Homecoming Parade, Passport to ASU, and similar events.
Represents Changemaker in various departmental and university committees. Attends seminars, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on relevant topics.
Communicates regularly with community partners related to social change initiatives to develop/maintain working relationships and programming opportunities.
Performs additional duties as assigned by Changemaker Leadership.
DAYS and SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; flexible scheduling to accommodate regular evening and weekend hours based on student event programming and operational needs.
Desired Qualifications:
Proven familiarity with social impact programs and methodologies.
Demonstrated experience in advising college/university student organizations.
Track record of creating and executing diverse student programming within a higher education or similar context, including workshops, presentations, and events.
Proven ability to train students for leadership roles and cultivate strong relationships with both student and professional staff.
Expertise in effectively coordinating and prioritizing tasks for oneself and others, with a comprehensive understanding of university policy interpretation.
Strong aptitude in establishing and nurturing productive working relationships.
Proficiency in budgeting and comprehension of accounting principles.
Substantial experience collaborating with diverse populations.
Documented evidence showcasing exceptional communication skills.
Working Environment:

Use computers effectively – including inputting, reviewing and retrieving information, extended periods of viewing screen and using mouse and keyboard

Department Statement:
Educational Outreach and Student Services (EOSS) is committed to enrolling all qualified students at Arizona State University and assisting them in their academic success. EOSS provides a broad range of services and support to students and prospective students ranging from outreach efforts with K-12 schools, orientation programs for new freshman, bridge programs to assist the transition to a university environment, and a wide variety of services, programs and activities for enrolled students. EOSS has direct responsibility for multiple departments across four campuses, some of which include the Dean of Students, University Housing, Health Services, Counseling Services, Disability Resources, the Memorial Union, TRIO programs, Sun Devil Fitness, Student Government, Student Media, Career Services, Access ASU and others.
