The VP, Data and AI is responsible for defining and executing a unified enterprise data strategy that enables advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and scalable data solutions. This role oversees Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI functions while ensuring enterprise data assets are integrated, governed, and optimized for actionable insights. You will lead the development of cross-system data platforms, drive adoption of AI technologies, and ensure alignment between technical capabilities and strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the enterprise data and AI strategy to drive business transformation and innovation
- Build and scale enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) that enable analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions
- Develop and deploy AI and large language model (LLM) solutions to enhance decision-making and automation
- Create cross-functional data products integrating clinical, operational, and financial data sources
- Oversee Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI teams, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
- Establish best practices, architecture standards, and governance frameworks for enterprise data and AI
- Drive innovation by identifying high-impact AI use cases beyond vendor-native capabilities
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
- Partner with clinical IT and EHR teams to optimize data integration and maximize platform value
- Evaluate emerging technologies and guide strategic adoption decisions
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing technical teams fostering a culture of accountability and growth
- Manage budgets, vendors, and resource planning for enterprise data initiatives
- Communicate strategy, insights, and outcomes to executive stakeholders
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA preferred in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, artificial intelligence, or related fields
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing enterprise-scale teams and initiatives
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise data strategy and AI transformation
- Experience implementing AI, machine learning, and LLM solutions in production environments
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with Snowflake or similar enterprise data platforms preferred
- Healthcare or regulated industry experience preferred
