As a Residential Coordinator Assistant‑1, you will help create a safe, structured, and therapeutic residential environment by supporting the clinical team, supervising clients, and modeling positive, recovery‑oriented behavior. In this position, you will assist with assigned treatment procedures, monitor and support clients throughout daily activities, and help orient both clients and staff to program expectations. You will contribute to documentation, group facilitation, crisis support, and overall residential operations while ensuring compliance with state, regulatory, and CARF standards.

Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise and monitor clients to ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic residential environment
· Model appropriate behavior and reinforce program expectations, rules, and client rights
· Communicate client behaviors, progress, and concerns to the clinical team in a timely manner
· Document client activities, behaviors, and group participation in accordance with regulatory and program standards
· Support crisis situations by utilizing verbal de‑escalation techniques and behavioral interventions
· Assist with screening and monitoring detoxification clients to support safety and recovery needs when applicable
· Facilitate education or recreational groups as scheduled and assist with group curricula preparation
· Adhere to medication policies and collaborate with trained Behavioral Health Technicians to ensure compliance
· Provide client transportation as needed
· Perform Behavioral Health Technician duties to support daily residential operations
· Ensure unusual incidents are reported and documented according to policy
· Complete all required trainings within designated timeframes to maintain compliance with State Regulatory and CARF standards
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or a closely related field
OR
· High school diploma or GED with at least two (2) years of responsible employment history
Additional Qualifications:
· Knowledge of confidentiality laws governing substance use disorder and mental health treatment, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part II
· Ability to build rapport and work effectively with a diverse client population
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic environment
· Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
· Successful completion of required background, driving, and abuse/neglect checks
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to perform sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
· Frequent repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and writing
· Ability to sit for extended periods with occasional walking or standing
