About the Role

The Digital Marketing Coordinator will play a pivotal role within the Marketing function, leading the execution and optimisation of integrated digital marketing activities across Southern Africa. This role is responsible for driving a strong, consistent, and performance-led digital presence across websites, social platforms, and marketing campaigns to support brand growth and commercial objectives.

This position requires a highly experienced digital marketing professional with a proven track record of managing digital channels, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external agencies, and leveraging data and insights to improve campaign performance. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on marketer with deep digital expertise, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and a clear focus on continuous optimisation and measurable business impact.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Southern African websites, ensuring content is up to date and platforms are fully functional

  • Monitor website performance and coordinate with developers and service providers to resolve issues

  • Develop and implement annual and monthly social media strategies and content plans

  • Create, schedule and publish content across multiple social media platforms

  • Plan, execute and monitor social media advertising campaigns

  • Deliver monthly reporting and insights on digital performance across all channels

  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across email, SMS, display advertising and online platforms

  • Design and test email marketing campaigns and optimise based on performance data

  • Produce digital assets (e.g. banners and campaign creatives) and track campaign effectiveness

  • Analyse campaign data and provide actionable recommendations for optimisation

  • Provide digital marketing training and support to regional teams as required

  • Support the management and engagement of the internal HIVE community platform

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Degree or Advanced Diploma in Marketing, Digital Marketing or related field

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in digital marketing, social media management, web content management or digital communications within a corporate environment

  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Dreamweaver, Acrobat)

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Google Analytics or similar web analytics tools

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, user experience and content optimisation

  • Experience working with website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics or similar)

  • Strong analytical ability with a data-driven mindset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Experience in graphic design and digital content creation

  • Familiarity with email marketing tools and campaign automation

  • Basic understanding of HTML or other web-based languages
