Job Description

Visa Cloud Platform team is responsible for building frameworks and systems to automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment tools that Visa developers will use to deploy and run their code. Our mission is to make the process seamless for developers to get their code to customers. We are testing and automating the platform and make it easy to deploy, supervise, scale and debug applications.


You will play a critical role in designing and implementing test solutions across all testing phases. You will design and implement automation frameworks from scratch, develop AI‑assisted test solutions, and integrate them deeply with CI/CD pipelines. This role requires strong ownership of design and implementation while applying standard engineering practices to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities – what you’ll do:

  • Own the design and implementation of AI tooling, AI agents, and MCP server components to support QA activities such as intelligent test generation, failure analysis, and defect insights.

  • Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks from scratch for UI and API testing

  • Hands‑on automation using Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework, and API automation using RestAssured

  • Integrate automation frameworks and AI tooling into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable quality feedback

  • Write clean, well‑structured, and maintainable code using Java and/or Python

  • Participate in unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration

  • Apply engineering best practices, coding standards, and security considerations in all deliverables

  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and SRE teams to embed quality‑by‑design practices

  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

  • 3–7 years' experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on test automation or test platform development.

  • Hands on experience in test design and execution based on business scenarios.

  • Strong communication with ability to collaborate with global teams. 

  • Strong experience building automation frameworks from scratch

  • Hands‑on expertise with Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework, and RestAssured

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and DevOps practices

  • Experience developing AI or GenAI‑based solutions, AI agents, or internal engineering platforms

  • Familiarity with cloud‑native and microservices‑based systems

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills
