Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing the load in, set-up, operation, load out and maintenance of all types of staging, rigging and other related equipment to be used for all entertainment events.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities includes but not limited to:
- Responsible for performing the load in, set-up, operation, load out and maintenance of all types of staging, rigging and other related equipment to be used for all entertainment events
- Participates in the installation of all stationary, automated, and moveable scenery
- Produces technical drawings for all scenic and prop elements
- Maintains shop safety program and maintenance of all equipment
- Fabricates and repairs metal parts by welding
- Assist with Training programs
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists other departments with safe operation of lift equipment
- Assists with any and all entertainment production tasks, as needed
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
- Must be able to work safely at 60’ or more
- Fabricates and repairs metal parts by welding
- Drives vans and trucks up to 24 feet in length
- Operates fork trucks and lift equipment
- Assists with any and all entertainment production tasks, as needed
Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
- Good communication skills
- Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Knowledge of the equipment used throughout the property
- Must have open work availability to work
- Certification in the operation of fork trucks, motorized pallet jacks, scissor lifts and boom lifts
- Vector works
Training Requirements:
- Must be certified in the operation of fork trucks, motorized pallet jacks, scissor lifts and boom lifts
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend and climb for extended periods of time
- Must be able to climb and work at heights that may exceed 60 feet
- Must be able to lift and move all necessary equipment up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
