Position Overview We are seeking a passionate and experienced Physics Facilitator to teach IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme (DP) Physics. The ideal candidate will foster inquiry-based learning, conceptual understanding, and scientific curiosity while aligning with international curricula and best practices. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons for IGCSE and IBDP Physics in line with curriculum frameworks. Use inquiry-based, student-centered teaching approaches. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Integrate technology and real-world applications into teaching. Develop unit plans, lesson plans, and instructional materials. Design formative and summative assessments aligned with: IGCSE (e.g., Cambridge / Edexcel) IB DP Physics syllabus Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including: IB Internal Assessments (IA) Extended Essay (EE) supervision (if required) Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback. Plan and conduct safe and effective laboratory sessions. Guide students in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific reporting. Ensure proper use and maintenance of lab equipment. Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent research. Support students’ academic and personal growth. Provide mentoring for university readiness (especially for IB students). Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary learning and curriculum planning. Participate in school meetings, training, and IB/IGCSE workshops. Stay updated with developments in Physics education and pedagogy. Maintain documentation required by IB and IGCSE standards. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress. Contribute to school events, science fairs, and extracurricular activities. Qualifications Experience Master’s degree in physics or a related field (B.Ed. preferred). Certification/training in IB DP and/or IGCSE curriculum (preferred). Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in an international curriculum. Skills Competencies Strong subject knowledge in Physics. Familiarity with IB learner profile and inquiry-based pedagogy. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Proficiency in using educational technology and lab tools. Ability to mentor and guide student research projects.
