| Primary Purpose: | Provide teacher support through curriculum resources, instructional coaching, and professional learning (for teachers and leaders) |
| Qualifications/Skills: | Education/Certification: - Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or Teaching Certificate from out of state appropriate for position.
- Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remaining qualified for this position in a manner required by Federal and/or State law.
Special Knowledge/Skills: - Knowledge and experience in instructional coaching.
- Strong content knowledge in Reading Language Arts, English Language Arts, and/or Social Studies.
- Knowledge of best practices for instruction for diverse learners.
- Ability to effectively engage adult learners in professional learning.
- Understanding of the needs of various groups of students such as Emergent Bilingual, Gifted/Talented, 504, Special Education, and students at risk.
- Establish and maintain productive, collaborative relationships with others.
- Comprehensive knowledge of instructional strategies, the role of PLCs, intervention and enrichment, and student assessment.
- Knowledge and comfort with the use of technology in the classroom.
Experience: - Minimum of three (3) years of classroom teaching experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years instructional leadership experience required.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: | Duties: - Collect and analyze data in order to lead data meetings and to inform instructional decisions.
- Foster collegiality and team building among appropriate personnel, encouraging active involvement in decision-making.
- Develop and revise curriculum documents as needed.
- Actively participate in professional development in areas related to job responsibilities.
- Model district standards of ethics, core values, confidentiality and professionalism.
- Provide leadership in improving the instructional program in the schools.
- Positively collaborate with school leaders to design and support programs on campuses.
- Plan lessons with teachers.
- Support teachers in documenting student progress.
- Develop and deliver district-wide professional learning.
- Communicate district curriculum, instructional practices, district accomplishments, and goals to all stakeholders.
- Cultivate partnerships with local, state, and national leaders in the field (including business and community representatives, institutions of higher education, etc.) to ensure the continued growth of the department.
- Project a positive image to the community.
