EllisDon uses AI tools to assist in screening and assessing applicants for this position. 

• Provide overall construction management including design, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager, Subcontractors, Owners, Engineers and Architects
• Manage work on site to ensure the compliance of construction with the drawings, specifications and safety regulations
• Plan and implement schedules, determine manpower levels and material quantities, ensure proper equipment and trades are available as required
• Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing progression
• Advise the Project Manager and senior management of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems
• Manage the work activities of direct reports and administrative documentation as required (safety, communication LEMs ) in cooperation with appropriate departments
• Plan and implement schedules, determine manpower levels and material quantities, ensure proper equipment and trades are available as required
• Site Logistics (layout including trailers, access, & storage, erosion and sediment controls, waste management, etc.)
• Ability to proactively identify technical challenges and solutions to the project structure and envelope working with the Construction Sciences department
• Site office set up (temporary power, water, heating)

Is this the right fit for you?

• You have 5-8 years of experience
• You have a working knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract software
• You have ICI construction experience
• You have an advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and engineering drawings
• You have the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, produce workable solutions and lead a large team to successful completion
• You have strong scheduling experience with a proven ability to develop, maintain and execute both long term and short term schedules
• Understanding of the Building Code and local by-laws
• Understanding Prime Contract Requirements
• Understand types of subcontract agreements (design build, design assist, lump sum, contract management and P3)
• The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $145,000
