The Bernard Group is looking for an enthusiastic Shipping/Packing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you ensure the packaging of all materials are shipped safely and prevent any damage during transport.
Shift available: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
A variety of these traits will help land you this job. If you have:
- a high school diploma or GED
- previous warehouse experience, preferred
- experience in shipping and transportation management software is a plus
On top of that you must:
- pay close attention to details on every project
- have basic computer skills, including Pace and Google
- be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
- plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your own work
- have the ability to work independently, make decisions and solve moderate level problems independently, effectively and creatively
- complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting company quality standards
- apply effective time management and self-management skills
- understand and maintain the confidential nature of company, employee and customer information
- flourish in a team-oriented environment
- have a positive attitude always
- can handle change in stride
- adaptable to a fast-paced environment
In this position you'll:
- ensure the packaging of product is sufficient enough so no damage occurs during shipping.
- process shipments on FedEx, UPS and our internal transportation management system.
- work with the shipping lead to make sure inventory of packaging material is kept at a sufficient level.
- capture all accurate dims and weights on all outbound packages.
- use best practices for who we use for shipments for both cost and service.
- perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management.

Compensation Range: $43,160- $46,592 annually (This base pay range does not include additional compensation such as shift differentials).
*Range reflects our good-faith assessment of our hiring range for this role based on market conditions, experience level, and internal equity considerations.
