East Penn Canada is currently seeking a dynamic and highly driven professional to join their team.This position is a fully onsite vacancy based out of our Mississauga Branch.  The Territory Sales Representative will be responsible for providing white glove account management to approximately 150-200 of East Penn Canada’s key and national accounts, as well as developing new business within their assigned territory.  Please note that this position requires daily travel within the assigned territory and use of employee's personal vehicle for business purposes (annual car allowance provided). Duties & Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of key and national accounts (150-200) within the assigned territory Perform site visits to existing and prospective customers on a daily basis  Provide knowledgeable consultation, including technical and functional product training, to both new and existing customers Resolve customer inquiries and issues in a timely fashion Arrange prospect meetings using a variety of sales techniques including both warm and cold calling, social media engagement, networking, etc. Develop detailed sales plans using data from various sources in order to nurture and grow new and existing business relationships Demonstrate market intelligence, business acumen, and build customer trust to close sales deals Participate in the management of the customer’s East Penn product inventory, and provide product mix recommendations based on customer's sales history Occasional drop off of new products and/or pick up of scrap batteries at customer locations Perform automotive battery inspections to assist customers with warranty claims  Provide regular audits of East Penn Canada merchandising materials at customer locations to ensure product displays, POP, and signage are current and promote products effectively Experience, Skills & Competencies 5+ years of outside sales, territory management, or mixed sales experience Automotive or industrial sales experience is considered a strong asset  3+ years of experience using CRM software with ability to pick up new systems with relative ease (Salesforce experience highly preferred) Solid planning, organizational & time management skills Strong track record of success in negotiations and closing of new business Ability to solve problems both independently and collaboratively Ability to communicate at a high level in English (read, write, speak) with strong presentation skills Proven effectiveness in working independently under minimal supervision, with a self-starting and results-driven work style Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Post-Secondary education an asset Valid Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing required Other Considerations: Background checks will be required of the incumbent, and may include, but are not limited to criminal record checks, employment verifications, employment credit checks, driver's abstracts and professional references. Daily travel within the assigned territory is required - incumbent must be willing and able to spend the majority of each workday on the road Salespeople are required to use personal vehicles for business purposes, and will be provided with an annual car allowance and gas card as part of their offer of employment  Expected hiring range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000 annually plus sales incentive (exact annual salary offered to the successful applicant will be determined by the candidate's experience, education, related knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data)
