Job Description
Please note that this role is a fully on-site position, based out of our Langley branch, and requires reliable transportation.
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for safely contributing to the overall effectiveness of the warehouse department by performing a variety of activities relating to customer product shipments and general warehouse operations. This role directly contributes to customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate assembly and shipment of customer orders, while maintaining compliance with all company and provincial safety and environmental standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manual picking of customer orders in a safe and efficient manner, using RF handheld scanners
Labelling East Penn products accurately using correct tags or labels
Building customer orders and preparing pallets for shipping
Safely operating a variety of material handling equipment (forklift, pump truck)
Regularly completing pre-shift equipment checks and maintaining constant awareness of safety hazards throughout the warehouse environment
Participating in scheduled inventory cycle counts, when necessary
Consistently maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Experience, Skills & Competencies
3+ years’ experience with order picking, shipping, receiving, and other general warehouse duties
Experience operating forklifts or other similar material handling equipment (valid certification NOT required)
Experience working in environments with a plethora of product SKUs, requiring strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Willingness and ability to frequently lift loads of up to 50 lbs
Willingness and ability to occasionally push, pull, or move loads of up to 100 lbs
Extremely strong communication abilities in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a broader warehouse team
Strong initiative and high levels of personal responsibility
Ability to follow all policies, procedures, and processes, with strict adherence to all company and provincial safety standards (previous experience with WHMIS and TDG a strong asset)

Background checks including criminal checks and employment references will be requested from the successful candidate
Expected hiring range for this position is $20-24 per hour (exact hourly rate offered to the successful applicant will be determined by the candidate's experience, education, related knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data)
