As Expand Energy continues to scale, the strength of our commercial relationships and the way we structure our agreements will directly impact how we grow. We are looking for a Senior Commercial Representative to play a key role in that.
This is a high-impact position sitting at the intersection of commercial strategy, operations, and market dynamics. You’ll take ownership of complex gathering agreements, work closely with internal and external stakeholders, and help ensure our systems are optimized to support both current production and future growth.
You will be trusted to lead negotiations, manage key counterparties, and provide commercial insight that shapes how we expand and position our assets. This role is ideal for someone who wants to step into broader ownership, deepen their commercial impact, and play a visible role in a business that’s actively growing.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Leading negotiations for gathering, and related commercial agreements
- Managing and strengthening relationships with key midstream counterparties
- Providing commercial insight into system capacity, development plans, and growth opportunities
- Partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Legal, and Finance to resolve issues and optimize outcomes
- Supporting system utilization and identifying opportunities for expansion and improvement
- Monitoring market activity and competitor positioning to inform strategy
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to overall team capability

Education
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or related field
Preferred: MBA, CFA, industry certifications or advanced commercial training
Experience
Minimum: 8 years related work experience in midstream, energy, commercial operations or a related industry
Preferred: Industry certifications or advanced commercial training considered an asset; demonstrated experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing producer relationships
Additional Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating commercial agreements and managing producer/counterparty relationships
- Strong understanding of midstream commercial structures and market fundamentals
