THE POSITION:
STACK is looking for a Sustainability Manager to support the execution of its global sustainability strategy while managing implementation across the Americas region. This role sits on the Global Sustainability team and operates at the intersection of strategy and execution, translating global priorities into actionable regional programs across development, operations, and procurement.
The Sustainability Manager will play a critical role in advancing STACK’s Net Zero roadmap, managing environmental data and disclosures, and driving cross-functional engagement with internal teams, clients, and suppliers. This role requires strong technical expertise in GHG accounting and sustainability reporting, combined with the ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with an eye towards measuring and scaling success.
As a leader and communicator, the Sustainability Manager brings a deep understanding of corporate sustainability; climate, environmental, and/or water strategy; and data center operations. They excel in translating strategic priorities into execution, managing data-driven programs, and influencing stakeholders across regions and functions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Global Program Support & Strategy Execution
Support development and execution of global sustainability programs, translating strategic priorities into regional playbooks and execution plans
Contribute to global initiatives such as STACK’s Net Zero strategy, inclusive of supplier engagement, climate risk, and environmental performance improvement programs
Maintain trackers and reporting frameworks to ensure Americas deliverables meet global standards and audit requirements
Manage rollout of sustainability initiatives across the Americas, including decarbonization efforts and resource efficiency programs
GHG Inventory & Environmental Data Management
Manage Americas GHG inventory processes, including Scope 1–3 data collection, validation, performance tracking, and audit support
Support global GHG inventory processes, including oversight of inventory calculations, audit process, and updates to the Inventory Management Plan
Drive continuous improvement in data quality, reporting processes, and performance tracking capabilities
Stakeholder Reporting & Disclosures
Support global disclosures (e.g., Impact Report, CDP, GRESB, TCFD, investor reporting) through data management and analysis, narrative development, and case study contributions
Lead Americas regional sustainability disclosures, including client surveys, renewable energy certificate (REC) attestations, and lender reporting requirements
Support quarterly and annual reporting to internal leadership, investors, and external stakeholders
Maintain auditable documentation to support regulatory and financing requirements
Coordinate inputs across cross-functional teams and regions to ensure consistency and quality of reporting outputs
Partner with Client Success to support sustainability discussions in Executive Business Reviews (EBRs) and other client engagements

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in a corporate sustainability or related consulting role
Knowledge of sustainable design, construction, and operations practices; data center experience preferred
Demonstrated experience measuring and reporting sustainability performance across carbon, energy, water, and waste
Demonstrated expertise in GHG accounting (Scope 1–3), including relevant frameworks such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
Compensation Range:
