Job Description

Visa is seeking a Director, Non‑Card Strategic Partnerships & Go‑To‑Market to lead regional commercialization and partner execution of Visa’s Non‑Card growth initiatives, including Visa Pay and adjacent non‑card payment solutions. This role sits within Growth Products & Partnerships and serves as a critical execution bridge between Global GTM strategy and regional market delivery, ensuring Visa’s non‑card capabilities scale through strong ecosystem partnerships and disciplined go‑to‑market execution across the region. The Director will be responsible for identifying priority regional prospects and partners including wallets, fintechs, platforms, merchants, acquirers, and technology providers—and working closely with local market teams to develop compelling value propositions and commercial proposals. The role requires strong cross‑functional leadership, partnering with Global GTM, Product, Legal, Pricing, Risk, Finance, and Operations to ensure solutions are commercially viable, regulatory‑ready, and executable at scale.

Essential Functions:

  • Own and execute regional go‑to‑market implementation for Visa’s Non‑Card solutions, translating global strategy into region‑specific plans that reflect local market dynamics, partner readiness, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and expand a portfolio of non‑card strategic partnerships in the region, while identifying and originating new ecosystem partners that accelerate adoption of Visa Pay.
  • Proactively identify priority prospects and growth opportunities, working with country and cluster teams to shape client narratives, structure proposals, and advance deals through internal approvals toward contract closure and revenue realization.
  • Lead collaboration across Legal, Pricing, Risk, Finance, Product, and Technology teams to ensure solutions are compliant, scalable, and commercially sound, while removing execution blockers and accelerating time‑to‑market.
  • Act as the regional interface to the Global GTM and Product organizations, providing structured regional input to influence roadmap prioritization, launch sequencing, and global enablement assets.
  • Drive regional readiness for new non‑card product launches, including sales enablement, GTM assets, operating processes, and partner activation models required to scale adoption efficiently.
  • Maintain end‑to‑end visibility into the regional non‑card pipeline, proactively managing risks, tracking progress, and ensuring alignment between global objectives and regional outcomes.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD • Proven experience in operating and business development roles across companies in financial services, fintech, crypto, and payments • High product acumen and solutions mindset • Proven record of implementing strategic initiatives, policies and operational decisions • Proven ability to form new partnerships and find new sales opportunities in white space, demonstrating commercial creativity and instincts alongside negotiation skills • Strategic thinking and thought leadership with subject matter expertise in stablecoins and blockchain technology • Teamwork, interpersonal & relationship-building skills, and ability to lead by influence and example • Proven ability to partner, communicate and manage/navigate through multiple disciplines and organizational groups • Experience “managing up”, building Executive Level communications and delivering presentations • Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, and to influence senior management and other relevant parties • Executive presence, Strong written and oral communication, including large-group presentations • Previous experience in an operating role at a startup or high growth company preferred • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and influencing without direct authority
