
Financial Accountant (RTR)
Job Description
As a Financial Accountant – Record to Report, you provide hands-on exposure to end-to-end accounting, statutory reporting, and internal controls within a dynamic, multi-country environment.
This role reports to the Manager, Record to Report, and is responsible for maintaining complete and accurate books and records for assigned legal entities.
What you will do
- Perform general ledger accounting activities, including preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of balance sheet and profit-and-loss accounts, to support monthly and year-end close.
- Prepare, record, analyze, and review accounting transactions in compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
- Execute internal control activities, including Sarbanes-Oxley controls, and document control evidence according to established timelines.
- Own accounting and reporting processes within designated financial systems, including enterprise resource planning and consolidation tools.
- Act as the primary point of contact for local stakeholders on accounting, reporting, and close-related queries for assigned entities.
- Prepare and submit value-added tax declarations and other statutory compliance filings in accordance with local deadlines.
- Support internal and external audits by responding to audit inquiries and providing required documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and standardization across Record to Report activities.
What you will need
Required qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional accounting certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial accounting (general ledger accounting role).
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel and working on ERPs.
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements.
- Knowledge of US GAAP.
