The role
We are currently seeking multiple individuals to join our teams at our Geochemistry site in Kalgoorlie.

We are looking for dedicated Sample Preparers to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting our many mining and exploration clients.
As a Sample Preparer, you will be working in a warehouse operating machinery to crush, split, and pulverize mineral samples for laboratory analysis. Please note that this is a physically demanding role, so previous production experience and flexibility with availability would be highly advantageous.
The role also involves working in a dusty environment where wearing a half-face respirator is mandatory and to ensure a proper seal, you must be clean-shaven.
This is a Full Time role, and you MUST be able to work the following roster:
Monday to Friday: Day shift roster (8 am - 4 pm)
Monday to Friday: Night shift roster (6 pm - 4 am)
8 day shifts followed by 4 days off (10 hours shift)
There are opportunities for multi-skilling within the department, including progression towards more complex roles in sample preparation and administration.
The day to day
Handling rock, core and drill chips
Operating sample preparation equipment – crushers, pulverisers, splitters, and weigh scales
Performing routine manual/labouring tasks, including lifting and being on your feet all-day
Numerical sorting and labelling of samples
Wearing mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator
Working as part of a team to achieve daily production targets
This is a residential role, and you must be residing in or planning to relocate to Kalgoorlie Boulder Region with current Australian work rights to be considered.

Have good verbal and writing skills – especially number recognition
Correctly follow instructions and procedures (incl. safety, quality and code of conduct)
Have a high attention to detail

Be willing to work hard while focusing on quality, safety, and productivity
Be willing to work in a dusty, noisy, high/low-temperature environment with dangerous substances
