Position Summary:
The Assistant Loaner Agent plays a key role in delivering a premium customer experience by managing the dealership’s loaner vehicle program. This position supports service customers by coordinating loaner vehicle assignments, maintaining fleet readiness, and ensuring smooth, efficient transactions that reflect the high standards of the Mercedes-Benz brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist service customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Coordinate the check-in and check-out process for loaner vehicles
- Verify customer eligibility, driver’s licenses, and insurance information
- Maintain accurate records of loaner agreements and vehicle status
- Inspect vehicles before and after use for damage, cleanliness, and fuel levels
- Ensure loaner fleet is clean, fueled, and properly staged for customer use
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding customer needs and timelines
- Schedule loaner reservations and manage availability
- Report any maintenance or damage issues to management promptly
- Uphold dealership and brand standards for customer service and presentation
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous customer service or automotive experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with dealership software is a plus
