Veterinary Technician — Union, NJ

Westfield Veterinary Group is growing, and our Union location is under new management! We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician who enjoys hands-on patient care, strong client communication, and working in a supportive, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assist veterinarians with appointments and outpatient care 
• Obtain patient histories and provide client education 
• Safely restrain patients for exams and treatments 
• Collect blood, urine, and fecal samples and run diagnostics 
• Perform radiographs and assist with specialty testing (ACTH stim, bile acids, LDDST) 
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments 
• Assist with surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring 
• Admit and discharge patients with clear client communication 
• Fill prescriptions and support pharmacy needs 
• Maintain accurate medical records and enter charges 
• Keep exam rooms and treatment areas clean and organized 

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of veterinary technician experience required 
• Comfortable with venipuncture and patient restraint 
• Strong communication and client education skills 
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude 
• Reliable with strong time management skills 
• Weekend availability required 
• Evening shift availability

Schedule

• Full-time or Part-time available
