Major Areas of Responsibility
Provide installation, operation, and maintenance of the programs or projects of record. Planning, preparation, and execution of designated training events.
III. Specific Responsibilities of the Job
1. Administers, deploys, manages, monitors, upgrades, migrates, and designs a VMware vSphere 6.0 virtualized Active Directory environment consisting of Windows Server 2012 R2 VMs and Windows 10 Enterprise clients to support day-to-day operations and deployed events to include installing and deploying servers.
2. Manages Exchange Server infrastructure, conducts server upgrades, plans and implements disaster recovery solutions, and monitors and maintains the messaging system.
3. Designs and deploys STIG policies and remediates security vulnerabilities of the Active Directory, Windows Server, and Windows 10 environment.
4. Designs and deploys Windows Server and Exchange Server availability and recovery.
5. Designs and deploys messaging compliance, system monitoring, and reporting.
6. Assist in the upgrade planning and execution to Microsoft Exchange 2013 or other future software release updates as directed by the Government.
7. Designs, integrates, maintains, and troubleshoots Microsoft Structure Query Language (SQL) 2012 R2 database instances in the enterprise computing environment to support day-to-day operations and during deployed events.
8. Administers, manages, configures, deploys, and patches Windows based systems via System Center Configuration Manager 2012 (SCCM 2012).
10. Installs, maintains, and administers DoD Public Key Infrastructure Cryptographic Logon (CLO) services on MSTP Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network NIPRNET and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET).
11. Ensures anonymity is denied to the maximum extent possible.
12. Maintains operations by ensuring that “Temporary Exception Users” are not denied access to systems due to a users’ inability to obtain or use a PKI hardware token.
13. Assesses and manages risks associated with information technology resources.
14. Evaluates threats, risks, and vulnerabilities and develops countermeasures to ensure continuation in the event of an IT services disruption.
15. Develops and maintains MSTP disaster recovery plans.
16. Provides and maintains disaster recovery plan.
17. Conducts quarterly validation of the disaster recovery plan.
18. Designs and maintains accurate documentation on MSTP server topology diagrams
Position Requirements
Education or Equivalent:
Associate’s degree in an IT discipline to include Computer Science or MIS. In lieu of an Associate’s Degree, at least eight to ten+ years of experience in a professional IT-related role.
Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA).
VMWare Certified Associate (VCA) desired.
At least six years of related work experience in IT, which should include successful experience as an enterprise team member or lead.

Must be currently DoD 8570 IAT Level II Compliant – Current CompTIA Security+ CE Certification including a minimum of one valid computing environment certification (ie MS Windows Server 2012 R2 Cert, MS Windows 10 cert, a VMware 6.0 Cert).
Knowledge/Skills Requirement:
System Experience Required: MS Active Directory environments, Windows Server and Client environments, and VMWare vSphere environments
Documented experience and solid understanding of DoD enterprise network policies with a strong security mindset.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with others and senior management.
Other Requirements:
Eligible for a U.S. Passport and available for overseas travel as required.
Must be eligible for at least a secret clearance with SSBI investigation to be eligible for privilege user rights on MSTP network services.
