Job Description

SUMMARY

The Clinic Director oversees daily operations, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient service. Essential duties include recruiting and training staff, managing performance, and analyzing staffing needs. This role involves collaboration with departments to implement growth initiatives and improve care quality while managing the budget and addressing patient feedback. The Clinic Manager ensures compliance with regulations and coordinates patient care activities while fostering a positive work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Promotes strong teamwork across departments to address the needs of patients and physicians while supporting decision-making and actions.
  • Responsible for conducting interviews, hiring and training employees, planning and assigning work, evaluating performance, recognizing achievements, managing disciplinary actions, and resolving complaints.
    • Hires staff based on established criteria and continually monitors, coaches, and evaluates their performance according to relevant standards.
    • Identifies and implements strategies to boost employee morale and motivation.
  • Analyzes and allocates front and back-office staffing to ensure efficient and courteous service for healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Oversees compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and standards to ensure quality and safety in patient care.
  • Develops, evaluates, recommends, and implements new initiatives as needed to drive business growth and quality care. Ensures that customer and patient service needs are met.
    • Monitors feedback on patient services and participates in resolving complaints and service issues.
  • Oversees budget management by proposing process improvements and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with vendors, employees, other managers, and physicians through effective communication.
  • Collaborates across the organization in areas of expertise, such as nursing, employee health, medical records, scheduling and patient financial.
  • Ensures the work environment's cleanliness, organization, safety, and other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Formal degrees are highly preferred. In lieu of a formal degree, a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare management or supervisory, preferably in a clinic or similar healthcare setting, will be considered. 
  • Additional certifications in healthcare management or related fields are a plus but not mandatory.
