Community Service Officer II

Patrols campus on foot, bicycle or marked vehicle checking for fires, vandalism, suspicious activity or persons, and safety/fire hazards. Situations requiring additional assistance will be referred to police. Monitors camera footage for criminal activity and reports findings to police. Responds to emergency calls for service such as blue light phones, medical injuries and emergencies, minor theft reports, fires, and criminal damage. Completes police reports on minor incidents that do not involve felony investigations, including stolen property, found property, lost property, and criminal damage. Provides building lock up and security services. Provides assistance to motorists and public during special events. Directs traffic at special events and accident scenes. Collects cash and deposits from Business Affairs to Bursars Office. Transports equipment to event staging area during special events. Transports vehicles to garage for repair or maintenance service. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions. Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work rotating shifts/days off and work holidays.
