Job Description

Stocks warehouse with products from outside vendors and returns from units. Ensures proper rotation of products based on when received or expiration date. Fills orders based on requests. Communicates to buyer on shorts, outs, mis-picks, etc. Informs buyer of mistakes and shortages. Checks quality of products received and inspects produce. Checks invoices against sheets. Dates all products. Places items on carts and delivers orders to units in a timely manner according to schedule. Delivers products that are a direct ship. Receives and returns items not in food service. Puts produce away and take daily inventory. Informs units if their orders are incorrect. Retrieves cover sheets from buyers. Retrieves computer generated cover sheets and checks invoices against cover sheets. Takes paper work to office when completed. Opens and closes receiving area. Orders items through buyers and gives buyers daily stock levels. Cleans dock and receiving area. Greets and serves customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Provides suggestions and input to supervisor. Actively solves problems, wherever possible. Works harmoniously with coworkers. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of automated or computerized system operations. Knowledge of safety practices. Knowledge of proper perishable product handling and storage. Skill in operating forklift or other materials handler equipment. Physical Requirement: Able to occasionally transport/move a maximum of 60 lbs.
