Key Responsibilities
Lead requirement gathering sessions with PMs and designers to define technical constraints before development begins.
Act as the engineering point of contact for cross-functional requests, collaborating closely with product and design teams.
Break down complex features into clear, actionable tickets for the team.
Build and maintain high-performance mobile features using Expo, Tamagui, React Hook Form, and Reanimated.
Leverage AI development tools like Cursor and Claude to accelerate coding workflows and maintain high standards of efficiency.
Write maintainable code, participate in peer code reviews, and mentor junior developers to ensure high code quality.
Identify performance bottlenecks and surface technical risks or blockers proactively.
Participate in Agile development processes, including Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and story estimation.
Requirements
5+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining mobile or full-stack applications.
Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and drive clarity from high-level concepts.
Deep expertise in React Native development and the Expo ecosystem.
Strong experience translating designs into pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces using Tamagui and Reanimated.
Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs and managing complex state.
Proficiency in AI-assisted coding, with a proven ability to use tools like Cursor or Claude to enhance productivity.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a "get-it-done" mindset.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a distributed team.
Nice to have
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern mobile deployment environments.
Familiarity with microservice architectures.
Experience with version control tools such as GitLab, Bitbucket, or GitHub.
