Job Description
Leading and evolving Great Southern Bank’s SEO and GEO strategy, roadmap and optimisation initiatives Driving organic growth through on-site and off-site SEO strategies that improve search visibility and customer engagement Using data, insights and customer behaviour trends to identify opportunities that support sales, customer experience and NPS outcomes Managing and prioritising the SEO backlog to maximise value and business impact Acting as the Bank’s SEO subject matter expert, providing strategic advice and guidance across teams Partnering with Marketing, Content, Design and Delivery teams to embed SEO best practice into digital experiences Monitoring, analysing and reporting on SEO and GEO performance, providing actionable recommendations for continuous improvement Acting as custodian of SEO technologies, including SEMRush, to drive optimisation, automation and performance tracking Do things differently with us This is more than a traditional SEO role. You'll have the opportunity to shape how one of Australia's leading customer-owned banks attracts, engages and converts customers through organic search. As the Bank's SEO expert, you'll influence digital strategy, drive innovation and help embed modern SEO and GEO practices across the organisation. You'll work with a broad range of stakeholders and have the autonomy to identify opportunities, challenge thinking and drive meaningful outcomes. To succeed in this role, you will have: 4+ years' experience in a dedicated SEO specialist or optimisation role Proven success improving organic search performance, website traffic and search visibility through modern SEO techniques Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors and SEO best practices Experience with GEO and AI-driven search optimisation trends and emerging technologies Advanced experience with SEO and analytics platforms including SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and develop actionable recommendations Experience developing and managing SEO roadmaps and prioritising optimisation opportunities Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence across multiple teams Experience working with SEO agencies and managing delivery of SEO initiatives Relevant SEO certifications and an understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations within financial services highly regarded
