Job Description
Edelman is a voice synonymous with trust, reimagining a future where the currency of communication is action. Our culture thrives on three promises: boldness is possibility, empathy is progress, and curiosity is momentum.
At Edelman, we understand diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) transform our colleagues, our company, our clients, and our communities. We are in relentless pursuit of an equitable and inspiring workplace that is respectful of all, reflects and represents the world in which we live, and fosters trust, collaboration and belonging.
We at Edelman are the Trust Makers.
We are a global, independently owned communications agency that builds and strengthens trust between people, brands, businesses, and organizations. Our 6,000 employees across more than 60 offices develop communication strategies that enhance trust in brands and companies, empowering our clients to lead and act with confidence.
Our healthcare experts work hand in hand with our planning, creative, digital, and activation teams — developing data-driven strategies backed by deep industry knowledge. Advising clients and managing socially relevant campaigns from strategy through execution are at the heart of what the healthcare team does.
We are currently looking for an Account Manager (m/f/d) in our Healthcare team to join one of our offices in Cologne, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich or Frankfurt as soon as possible.
What you can expect:
- You will manage day-to-day project delivery for healthcare marketing and communications programs, supporting national and international clients (including Rx brands) across integrated campaigns.
- You will partner closely with internal teams — including Medical Writing, Creative, and Digital — to deliver high-quality, on-strategy materials and campaigns.
- You will contribute to the development and implementation of integrated communication plans across the consumer, patient, and HCP journey, ensuring smooth execution from planning through to evaluation.
- You are familiar with omnichannel engagement and tools such as Veeva Detail Aids, and understand how to support materials that enable sales force effectiveness.
- In collaboration with Medical Writing, you will help develop and refine marketing and sales materials for professional audiences, ensuring accuracy and alignment with study data and regulatory requirements.
- You will manage timelines, budgets, and project workflows, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope while flagging risks proactively.
- You will maintain strong day-to-day client relationships, acting as a reliable point of contact and ensuring client needs are met with high-quality delivery.
- Monitoring industry trends and supporting the team in translating insights into actionable recommendations and campaign optimizations.
- You may provide guidance and support to junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Support organic growth opportunities within existing accounts and contribute to new business efforts as needed.
What you bring:
- At least 3 years of experience in healthcare communications and consulting — in a leading PR, advertising, or communications agency, or on the corporate side
- Proven experience in the development, management, and implementation of communication strategies, campaigns, and activities
- Strong expertise in pharma and healthcare marketing, including the creation of consumer, patient, and HCP materials
- Experience managing international healthcare and pharma clients
- A strong affinity for current trends, especially in the areas of health, innovative therapies, and Rx
- Excellent writing skills and a keen sense for tone of voice and brand language across various channels
- A high degree of client focus and commitment to quality
- Enthusiasm for challenges and diverse projects
- The ability to stay calm and organized under pressure, with a positive attitude and a smile
- Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
What we offer:
- The option to take time off in lieu for overtime, in line with our overtime policy
- A hybrid working model that allows several home office days per week, depending on your location — with flexible scheduling
- The freedom to choose between Apple or Microsoft products
- An LGBTIQ+ friendly workplace with a global network and a strong stance on inclusion
- Sustainability as an integral part of our corporate strategy, driven by our Green Team
- A wide range of initiatives on topics such as DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) and Female Empowerment
- Access to extensive learning and development opportunities, including onsite training and a digital learning platform with courses on Community & Culture, Leadership & Management, and more
- Every employee receives a ChatGPT license and training to help us work more efficiently and future-oriented
- To help you unwind after work, enjoy a free premium subscription to the CALM app with meditation and mindfulness content
