JOB OVERVIEW

The Kinetic Group is a world leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of small caliber ammunition under the iconic brands B&P, CCI, Federal Premium, Fiocchi, HEVI-Shot, Remington and Speer. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining shotshell loading equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production while meeting daily output requirements. Success in the position looks like minimizing machine downtime, maintaining accurate inventory and documentation, consistently meeting quality standards, and safely producing product with minimal scrap. The role supports the organization by keeping production lines running smoothly and reliably, directly impacting on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. As part of the manufacturing team, this position works closely with supervisors and peers to uphold safety, quality, and operational excellence across the facility.

This position reports to the ShotShell Department Supervisor.

** Please note: This role is for 2nd shift, working 4:25pm – 2:55am Monday through Thursday. Employees working second shift will receive an additional $1.00 per hour as a shift differential, paid in addition to the listed hourly pay range.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure that all materials being used are accurate to current product build
  • Maintain inventory levels of components to keep machine running efficiently
  • Conduct and/or assist in machine changeovers
  • Troubleshoot/identify reasons for machine stoppages and resolve accordingly
  • Continually inspect for various quality issues. Resolve as needed.
  • Properly and efficiently box up product at a rate to minimize machine stoppages
  • Ensure proper lot identification is stamped on all boxes for product produced
  • Fill out daily production log
  • Cut up and properly dispose of any scrap generated throughout the day.
  • Daily removal of generated trash
  • Keep machine and area organized and clean throughout shift
  • Perform end of shift machine shut down and clean up procedure
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management

Experience you bring:

  • Must have a minimum level of mechanical aptitude to run and resolve mechanical issues of Shotshell loading equipment
  • Must be able to read and have basic math skills
  • Must be able to follow instructions
  • Must be able to cooperate and work well with others
  • Must be able to work overtime when required

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to climb, stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift, for a 10 hourshift
  • Must be able to lift up to 70lbs alone and up to 140lbs with assistance
  • Must be able to lift 30-35lb boxes of product repeatedly throughout the day as many as 400 times
  • Good vision to detect potential quality issues on product

Pay Range will start out at $20.29 on a pay progression scale.

Work Environment:

Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.

Hourly Rate: $22.92 - $28.19

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
