Farmers Insurance in Lane County and surrounding areas is seeking motivated, entrepreneurial-minded individuals to join our team as Agency Owners. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who want to build, grow, and lead their own business with the support, training, and brand recognition of an established insurance leader.
We offer multiple entry paths designed to match your experience level, financial goals, and timeline—including the ability to purchase an existing book of business, build an agency from the ground up, or participate in our paid training program.
What You’ll Do:
Build and manage your own insurance agency
Develop relationships within your local community and grow a client base
Provide tailored insurance solutions to individuals and businesses
Lead, hire, and develop a team as your agency expands
Manage daily business operations, sales performance, and customer service
Create and execute strategies for long-term agency growth
Pathways to an Agency:
Protege Program (Training Program):
Gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and a base income while preparing to launch your own agency
Retail Agency (Start from Scratch):
Build your agency with training, marketing support, and access to Farmers resources
Agency Acquisition Path:
Opportunity to step into an established client portfolio, with the option to acquire and grow an existing book of business.

Salary Range: $35,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Requirements
- Both an Oregon Property & Casualty Insurance license as well as a Life & Health Insurance license are required (we will help you get these).
- Sales or Management experience is preferred
- Insurance experience is a bonus, not required
Responsibilities
- Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.
- Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales.
- Develop ongoing networking relationships with Real Estate Agents, Mortgage Lenders, Title Companies, Auto Dealers, etc.
- Attend industry events to network and build relationships.
- Develop and implement new marketing and sales strategies.
