Summary of job contents
The HR Administrator is responsible for supporting all phases of the employee lifecycle and maintaining updated employee records: pre-hire, hire, terminations. Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department regarding day to day HR Operations, including but not limited to; compliance and government reporting, HRIS, employee relations, administration, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, communication and clerical responsibilities. Must be detailed oriented, with analytical expertise.
Key accountabilities
• Ensure the tasks within the employee lifecycle process are fulfilled:
o Assists with interviews & prepares new employee files and documents.
o Updates employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment details.
o Assists with the processing and communication of terminations.
• Collects, scans and uploads all relevant documents to an internal digital file storage system.
• Updates, coordinates and conducts new hire orientation and handles the documentation resulting from that process.
• Provides general support to the site-specific HR and safety departments.
• Assists with various research projects and/or special HR projects.
• Ensures efficient distribution of employee communication and federal/state compliance postings and notification.
• Manages I-9 process including collection and verification of I-9 documentation and maintaining books current.
• Collects, manages and reports on HR metrics (excel and database) to appropriate stakeholders as required.
• Manages employee engagement initiatives and acts as the HR representative for engagement events.
• Assists or prepares appropriate sitewide correspondence.
• Administers and communicates employee recognition & other various reward programs.
• Manages tuition reimbursement, employee referrals & other miscellaneous benefits.
• Preforms asset management and assignment of HR appropriate IT permissions for all new and current employees.
• Acts as the departmental liaison between HR and internal departments to maintain effective working relationships.
• Maintain the HRIS system and coordinate with Payroll to ensure accurate data.
• Processes mail including accurate routing of mail to the correct department or recipients.
• Provide general administrative support.
o Order supplies for the HR department.
o Submit, track and ensure timely payment of HR and site-specific invoices.
o Provide general support for employees seeking assistance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
