Who We Are:
Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 15,500 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. The District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools, and a high school program divided between two 9 � 12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park, and Park City.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide guidance for teachers in implementing the Reading and Math resources.
2. Open the building for each session and make sure the facility is ready for learning.
3. Supervise all aspects of Saturday programs.
4. Close and secure the building each session.
5. Monitor the attendance of students; contacting families to follow-up on student absences.
6. Demonstrate initiative for recognizing and resolving issues, concerns, or problems related to students and/or staff
7. Conduct classroom visits to ensure implementation of curriculum and application of instructional strategies that
support the English Language Acquisition.
8. Represent the District in a professional manner.
9. Complete and maintain all required records.
10. Distribute materials needed for instruction, provide Professional Development on instructional resources, conduct an
inventory of supplies and materials, and return all materials to the Bilingual and Multicultural Department at Lincoln
Center upon completion of the final program session.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate would have strengths in communication skills, both written and verbal, be self-motivated and a great
team leader, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
1. Must have a valid Illinois Administrative Certificate Type 75, (Bilingual Certification and/or ESL
endorsement preferred)
2. Experience working in an Elementary setting for the Elementary position and High School experience if
working for the High School
Salary: $48.00 per hour/4.5 hours per session
Work Year: 2025-2026
Saturdays: From 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Dates: April 11, 2026 - June 27, 2026
Approximately 3 Saturdays per month
