Job Title: Boys Basketball - Assistant Coach
Reports To: Head Varsity Coach, Athletic Director, & Building Principal
Work Days: 2026-2027 Season
Stipend: Schedule 3 stipend schedule on teacher contract. Range: $4765-$7147. Placement on schedule based on experience.

JOB GOAL: 
To assist the head coach with instructing athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. The assistant coach must instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to socially acceptable character development, self-discipline, self-confidence, and pride of accomplishment in the student athletes. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.
• Has substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and, at the same time, continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
• Serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through his/her instructions and actions.
• Certification(s) with ISVE, ASEP, and/or NFHS
