This role will be a part of Operations Excellence.
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
Duties
The role expects the resource to perform the following functions:
- Manage compartments, users, and access in OCI.
- Track Oracle maintenance notifications.
- Monitor PaaS usage and costs.
- Provision OCI resources (Analytics Cloud, Datawarehouse, Storage).
- Ensure infrastructure availability and performance.
- Maintain OS security and server health.
- Administer databases and apply patches.
- Collaborate with Oracle support.
- Regularly track, review, and report on ticket progress, ensuring alignment with CPIs and critical metrics.
- Possess the knowledge and ability to interpret, educate, and enforce adherence to SDLC and ITIL processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in cloud administration or a related role.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integrating OCI with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, SAP).
- Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., OCI Certified, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator).
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
