TITLE: Curriculum Writing

CLASSIFICATION: Certified

REPORTS TO: District Personnel

SUMMARY: Essential Standards Planning
 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Revise RSD's current essential standards pacing guides to directly align with Arizona's newly identified essential standards.
2. Create units of study in Math grades K-8, or ELA grades 6-8, or Science grades K-8.
3. Participants will attend 6 days of in-person training in June to effectively revise documents and begin creating units throughout the year.
4. Participants acknowledge the work commitment is over the period of the 2026-2027 school year and will need to meet once a quarter. Participants will be paid in alignment with the RSD stipend schedule.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree required.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:
A valid Arizona teacher certification.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of three years teaching experience preferred.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
- Knowledge and experience in planning staff development.
- Ability to work effectively with administrators and staff.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The working environment is a normal office setting.
